Evan’s battle with Nf was a fierce one. His case was one of the most aggressive ones the DR’s had ever seen. He was in constant pain and physically disabled due to NF. He couldn’t run, he couldn’t walk more than a few feet without needing to stop due to discomfort, he missed out on so much he wanted to do. Even so, Evan had an infectious laugh and he loved to learn. He was the smartest person I’ve ever known. Whether it was Greek or Roman mythology or the evolution of EVERY Pokemon, he wanted to know it all.
Unfortunately, Evan lost his battle with Neurofibromatosis on December 7th, 2015. He was 13 for 10 days. He is missed every second of every day. He was my favorite person ever.
I continue to fight for an end to Nf for him and for all the kids who continue to battle this disorder. Together, we can accomplish this so that no other parent have to lose a child or no other sibling had to lose their brother or their best friend like Evan’s brother did.
