Volunteer Event Director: Boston, Indianapolis, Phoenix, NYC, Dallas

Cupid’s Undie Run (CUR) was founded in 2010 as an effort to bring awareness to a rare genetic disorder known as neurofibromatosis (NF). NF causes tumor growth on the nervous system, and can lead to blindness, deafness, learning disabilities and severe chronic pain. Cupid’s Undie Run is a big party with a “brief” run squeezed in the middle. We like to create an environment where anyone facing NF can make light of a serious situation, while feeling empowered that they are also driving promising research. With over $21 million raised since 2010, we are getting closer to finding a cure to end NF.

we are getting closer to finding a cure to end NF.

CUR is currently located in 38 cities, all run by volunteer Event Directors (formerly known as Race Directors). This position is seasonal, beginning in September and wrapping up at the end of February 2022. High points in the season are September, December, and Jan/Feb. Our volunteers are the glue that holds this ship together and we could not be more grateful for your interest in coming on board!

After a short stint in corporate America, Amy translated her childhood passion for selling painted rocks into a career in nonprofit fundraising. A career advancement in 2001 saw Amy give up lakeside living in Michigan to embrace the mountain lifestyle of Colorado. She has worked at some incredible organizations during her 20-year nonprofit career but Cupid’s is by far her favorite! When she’s not partying in her underwear, Amy enjoys spending time with her two adorable kids, cooking, reading, doing yoga, making jewelry, and maybe one day soon, painting rocks again.

Cassidy Brewer

Cassidy just recently moved back to the Mile High City after having ventured out west to the small beach town of Santa Barbara, California. While the ocean was her world, the mountains were calling and so was her new position as the National Development Manager on the Cupid’s National Team! Cassidy has extensive Marketing and Event Management experience and is excited to reunite with her non-profit roots. Cassidy has a rare zest for life and is passionate about giving back to something greater than herself! As a yogi and former pro-dancer, you can probably find Cassidy having a “pants-off dance-off” to ultimately end NF!

Jamie Balhon

Jamie is Cupid’s Chief Development Officer. With Midwestern values and South Florida flair, Jamie hails from Indianapolis and comes to Cupid’s from Miami, Florida where she learned there’s no modesty in raising money or hanging out “sans pants”. With tons of fundraising experience and a sense of humor, Jamie is ready to conquer the Undie World and help end NF. In her spare time, you can find her hanging out with her husband, kids and dog, exploring Denver, and most likely eating sushi.

Rachel Anderson

Rachel comes to us from the great state of Montana. She’s as crazy about thrillanthropy as she is about the rocky mountains. She headed to Denver to live a city life among the peaks. With a background in operations and project management, she jumped into Team Cupid as our Chief Operations Officer. She loves to plan, plan, plan. When she’s not wrangling all things office undies, you can find her exploring exotic locales with her husband, Justin, or romping around the woods with her border collie Olive.

Hailing from a diverse range of backgrounds, our Board of Directors combine professionalism and passion as they help steer Cupid’s Charity to success.

Bobby is one of the original three co-founders of Cupid’s Charity from back in the olden days of 2010. From it’s inception, Bobby led Cupid’s social, marketing and grassroots efforts. In 2013, after Cupid’s Undie Run grossed $1 Million for the first time annually, Bobby left his engineering career behind and put his full weight behind Cupid’s efforts to become Chief Operating Officer. After landing the cover of Runner’s World magazine and realizing he had peaked, he retired his red briefs in 2016 to usher in a new generation of thrillanthropy leadership. Bobby now works in regenerative agriculture trying to save the planet one healthy grassfed bite at a time.

Brendan Hanrahan set Cupid in motion with mock-up flyer e-mailed to a friend. Ten years later he serves as Cupid Charities Board Chair after a long stint as the Washington D.C. Volunteer Event Director. During the day he works in a laboratory developing new energy technologies for the U.S. Army.

Elizabeth, a Floridian turned Coloradan, joined the Cupid’s Board in 2019.  After helping Cupid’s behind the scenes with legal work for several years, she’s excited to join the Board and officially be on Team Cupid!  Her day job is an IP litigator at the Denver office of Perkins Coie LLP.
