Looking for Volunteer Event Directors or Co-Event Directors in the following markets:
Cleveland, Detroit, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Nashville, NYC, Pittsburgh, and Washington, D.C.

Cupid’s Undie Run (CUR) was founded in 2010 as an effort to bring awareness to a group of genetic conditions known as neurofibromatosis (NF). NF causes tumor growth on the nervous system, and can lead to blindness, deafness, learning disabilities and severe chronic pain. Cupid’s Undie Run is a big party with a “brief” run squeezed in the middle. We like to create an environment where anyone facing NF can make light of a serious situation, while feeling empowered that they are also driving promising research.  Close to $2 million was raised for the 2023 Season – $23,850,000 over the years – we are getting closer to finding a cure to end NF.

CUR is currently located in 31 cities, all run by volunteer Event Directors (formerly known as Race Directors). We have a strong community of 50+ Directors that support one another and act as on the ground ambassadors, best of the best party planners, NF community connectors, and more! This position is seasonal, beginning at our volunteer retreat in late Summer and wrapping up at the end of February 2024. High points in the season are September, October, and Jan/Feb. Our volunteers are the glue that holds this ship together and we could not be more grateful for your interest in coming on board!

Responsibilities* (subject to change and supported by your National Manager):

  • Manage city-specific email account ([email protected])
  • Establish a small committee to help delegate tasks (2-3 people in your first year)

  • Negotiate open bar per-person cost or liquor sponsorship (if applicable)

AMY BOULAS

After a short stint in corporate America, Amy translated her childhood passion for selling painted rocks into a career in nonprofit fundraising. A career advancement in 2001 saw Amy give up lakeside living in Michigan to embrace the mountain lifestyle of Colorado. She has worked at some incredible organizations during her 20-year nonprofit career but Cupid’s is by far her favorite! When she’s not partying in her underwear, Amy enjoys spending time with her two adorable kids, cooking, reading, doing yoga, making jewelry, and maybe one day soon, painting rocks again.

Cassidy Brewer

CASSIDY BREWER

Cassidy moved back to the Mile High City after having ventured out west to the small beach town of Santa Barbara, California. While the ocean was her world, the mountains were calling and so was her new position as the National Development Manager on the Cupid’s Undie Run Team! Cassidy has extensive Marketing and Event Management experience and is excited to reunite with her non-profit roots. Cassidy has a rare zest for life and is passionate about giving back to something greater than herself! As a yogi and former pro-dancer, you can probably find Cassidy having a “pants-off dance-off” to ultimately end NF!

Jamie Balhon

JAMIE BALHON

Jamie is our Director of Development for Cupid’s Undie Run. With Midwestern values and South Florida flair, Jamie hails from Indianapolis and comes to Cupid’s from Miami, Florida where she learned there’s no modesty in raising money or hanging out “sans pants”. With tons of fundraising experience and a sense of humor, Jamie is ready to conquer the Undie World and help end NF. In her spare time, you can find her hanging out with her husband and kids, exploring Denver, and most likely eating sushi.

After graduating with a degree in Communications, Holly found her passion for planning events and connecting with others in the nonprofit industry and never looked back, eventually finding her home here at Cupid’s. In her free time, you’ll without a doubt find Holly participating in some fitness-related class or activity, petting every dog she passes on the street, or far, far away somewhere on a beach!
