Julian was born a fighter! Arriving 6 weeks early, just over 4lbs, Julian spent his first 48 days in two NICUs. After not making much progress, he was transferred to Dupont in Delaware, from Bryn Mawr where we met with genetics. Shortly after that we found out he was missing the majority of his 17th chromosome, resulting in NF1. Since then he has had multiple blood draws, weekly therapies and he is due to be under anesthesia for the 5th time in February, all before his 2nd birthday. He works hard for each and every mile stone achieved and does it with a smile. As a family we have learned to take each bit of news as it comes and make the best of it. He is currently being monitored for hypothyroidism, GERD, an inner ear anomaly, and a thickening of his optic nerve.
Julian LOVES, his big brother, blowing Kisses, and making a mess.
