Jimmy Powers

Jimmy Powers is truly our champion. He is the sweetest, funniest, and toughest guy. He has been through so much in his three short years due to NF but is one of the happiest kids you’ll ever meet. He has almost all of the really scary complications that NF1 brings with it (skeletal deformities, plexiform tumors, spinal tumors) and faces challenges every single day. There was a time in his life that we were at the doctor’s every week – multiple times a week. After over a dozen MRIs, we’ve finally lost count. He’s had surgeries, hospitalizations, therapy, orthotics, drug trials and treatments, and more. The most important thing to know about Jimmy Powers is how sweet and charming he is – everyone who meets him loves him. He inspires us every day and we are so lucky to be his parents!
