Rylie Markay Evans

Rylie, was born in May of 2012. At her 2 month well baby check-up we noticed a lot of “birth marks” which caused us to ask some questions. A few more medical appointments later Rylie was officially diagnosed with NF-1 when she was just 6 months old. In February 2014 Rylie was diagnosed with Bi-Lateral Optic Nerve Glioma, tumors affecting the vision in both of her eyes. On May 7, 2015 Rylie began a 12 month long chemotherapy protocol in hopes of saving her vision. While the tumors destroyed the vision in her left eye she responded well to treatments and is back to 20/30 vision in her right eye! Rylie is a strong little girl full of sass and personality. She loves music, books, coloring, and playing with her dog Duke. Thank you for helping us to find a cure for NF!
