Altana “Tati” was diagnosed at just 1 month with NF-1. When she was two they found her first plexiform neurofibroma tumor. Her largest of these benign nerve sheath tumors runs from her left ear, into her cheek and down her neck and shoulders, it surrounding her trachea and sits up against her spine, ending wrapped around part of her heart. She is currently on her 3rd type of chemo to slow down, or hopefully, shrink these tumors. It is going to be a life-long challenge for her, but at 9 years old she inspires us with her strength and wisdom.
She is a sweet, strong, funny, intelligent, cute, kind, sarcastic, lovable and all-around amazing fourth-grader who’s passion is fashion! Our goal is to ensure that this disorder doesn’t take those beautiful qualities away from her. #imwithtati
