Meg was diagnosed with NF1 when she was a toddler. When she was 8, she had a large tumor removed from the base of her spine which, had it not been removed, would have left her paralyzed. She still has hundreds of tiny nerufibromas on her face and torso as well as countless internal tumors, some larger than others.

Meg has remained positive and hopeful. She loves life and makes the most of each and every day. Sadly, she knows how deadly this NF-related cancer can be, having lost friends to MPNST. Although she is battling this cancer everyday, she has chosen to focus on living.
