Bella was diagnosed with NF at birth, and her sister Finnley and her Daddy have NF1 as well.
She didn’t have any complications till march 2013, when an MRI of her brain revealed an optic glioma, and further MRIs showed a plexiform neurofibroma on her spine, causing an extreme onset of scoliosis.
Bella underwent spinal fusion and adjustable rod placement in October, and will have adjustments made to length of rods every 6 months for the next 6 years.
She keeps a smile on her face thru all the MRIs and Dr visits, and surgery, and both braces…both of which have kept her from being able to play like a normal kid.
We are blessed to have wonderful doctors, great friends, fabulous family, and a strong trust on God to get Bella thru this year, and be happy and healthy as she can be from here on out!
And her sister Finn, who has stood by her sister thru all this…knowing in the back of her mind, that she might have the same complications…. She has faced her fears for her sister.
