Betsy was diagnosed with Neurofibromatosis Type I in infancy. She has had some ups and downs but mostly ups. She is an active Girl Scout, runs track, plays the flute, and loves to play with her friends (especially sleep-overs). Being sick is hard but she doesn’t let it stop her!

In fall 2011, Betsy began having neck and back pain and her headaches got much worse. So began tests and doctor visits far and wide. In December 2013, her MRI showed a 7mm tumor in her cerebellum and a second tumor on her spine Although the doctor visits are far from over, at least now we know what the problem is.

Betsy is only 10 years old and although we are not sure what the next step is, we appreciate all your thoughts and prayers coming her way!!!
