My sweet 4 year old has NF1. He was diagnosed at 8 months due to the severity of his tibial displacia. Shriners Hospital performed a symes amputation (basically the foot and straightened the leg). He loves his prosthesis. He is always upbeat at his MRIs and all the other doctors visits, and wants to be a doctor so he can help kiddos like himself.
And a happy side effect of him having a big head (one of the many odd things NF can do) is he gets to choose baseball caps from the regular caps not the kid section. There is a much better selection.
