Layne Whitehouse is a veteran of over 80 races including triathlons, marathons, Tough Mudders, obstacle course, and road race 5ks.

Confession: in spite of her plethora of experience and passion for running…she really sort of hates the actual running part.

A Kansas City native, Layne spends her days taking pictures of kids, families, and fashions (www.laynehaley.com). She’s the Program Manager for Kansas City Fashion week and is the President for Kansas City Adventure Racing Club (KC-ARC), a non-profit organization whose members run races and host events that enrich the Kansas City community. KC-ARC provides sponsorships and actively encourages a healthy lifestyle, friendships, and fun.

Layne is excited to be a returning Race Director for the Undie Run but has no strong feelings regarding athletic underthings. Her sports bra requirements are simple (but ironclad): they must be comfortable and cheap. She’ll likely pick her skivvies out the morning of the race.

Post-race you will likely find Layne chowing down at Chipotle (steak bowl, beer, and YES she’s happy to pay extra for that guacamole). She’ll probably also be “willingly” sharing that well earned Chipotle with her twin daughters.
