This native of Maryland prefers the warmer climes and beaches of Florida. A retired naval officer, Ken started the Jacksonville NF Walk in 2013 and immersed himself in the fight to find a cure for NF. “It’s not enough to do nothing. I had counted on others to carry the water for so many years. It was time for me to do something!” His son, Connor, who was diagnosed with NF at 16 months old, is Ken’s inspiration to keep fighting until that cure is found. “There is nothing I wouldn’t do to find a cure for my boy … including running the streets in my skivvies!” Ken was introduced to Cupid’s at the 2014 NF Forum and the wheels were set in motion to make the Jacksonville CUR a reality. “I literally leaped from my comfort zone when I donned those beautiful undies and joined the masses for Saint Pete’s inaugural run in 2015. The passion, the drive of Katherine Zehr’s team was electric! I want that in Jacksonville … for Connor and all the NF Heroes!”
