Brittany was diagnosed with NF1 when she was 1 1/2 years old. We were moving from IN to CA and her last dr. appt before the move, her pediatrician said, Has anyone mentioned Neurofibromatosis to you? Needless to say, our entire extended family were anxious and nervous. We arrived in CA and started making dr visits before we had new insurance cards! Too many doctor visits and MRIs to count later, Brittany is now 23 years old and despite all of the tumors, nerve masses and a scoliosis spine fusion, is a wonderful daughter who brings sunshine and happiness to all she meets.
