Carter was diagnosed with NF before his 2nd birthday. He struggled a great deal with speech and sensory processing. With lots of early intervention Carter began making sounds after his 3rd birthday, before then he lived in complete silence. Grunting when he needed something with a monotone cry. Currently Carter still recieves speech therapy and we have had to add physical therapy and occupational therapy to help with a twist in his hip. My kiddo is such a smart and happy kid! He has fought for every sound in each word he speaks! He has made tremendous progress and continues to work closely with an amazing group of people to help him continue to over come his struggles! I couldn’t be more proud of this kiddo!
