Chloe was being seen by her eye doctor from the age of 2 for what was thought to be a lazy eye. Right after she turned 4, however her doctor found out her mother and grandmother had NF1 and she was developing cafe au lait spots, one sign of NF1. In her exam at the time, the doctor noticed an unhealthy change and ordered an MRI. The MRI confirmed she had optic nerve gliomas and since it was causing problems Chloe began chemotherapy in July of 2015. She will continue until about August of 2016, get MRIs every 3 months, eye exams and who knows what else! Through all of this, she’s definitely my SuperGirl!
