My brother David battled NF courageously his whole life. Sadly he lost his battle due to a brain tumor on Valentine’s Day 2009 at the age of 23. David was a fun, caring person who always had a positive outlook no matter what he was dealt. He was a selfless person who was always more concerned about how his family was doing than he was worrying about the NF. David was the subject of a nice article written in Sports Illustrated that will give you a glimpse into the type of person David was. I wish his story had a positive outcome but it is because of this that we run and will continue to run to support the CTF in hopes that one day there is a cure and another family does not have to go through what we did. We have run our own golf fundraiser each year since his death to benefit the CTF…since he passed away on Valentine’s Day, the Undie Run was another very fitting opportunity to continue our support.
