Harley is the kind of kid that loves playing and being active. When she visits Austin you can find her guest instructing a Weekend Workout at Body by Frame, having ice cream at Amy’s, and always making a stop at the dog park to meet new 4 legged friends.
Harley’s journey has been a tough one. She was diagnosed with NF 1(neurofibromatosis) at 9 months-old and, along with cafe au lait spots all over her body, she has two brain tumors, seizures, a plexiform neurofibroma (a complex tumor) just behind one of her eyes.
Harley goes to occupational and physical therapy regularly each week. She has been experiencing difficulty developing muscle in her legs and wears special braces to help her walk. As you can imagine that is hard on a young girls self esteem!
She has also had a hard time in school due to the learning disabilities that came along with NF1. Despite everything Harley loves to learning to cook, arts, and crafts.
