John is 16 and has NF1 and is an amazing young man. He has been through more in his 16 years than most ever will have to go through. He has a tumor on his brainstem, and has had over 50 MRI’s, 5 major brain surgeries, 2 and 1/2 years of chemotherapy, severe nerve pain, hundreds of doctor appointment, needle pokes, tests and hospital stays. He has been involved with several NF research projects, and knows the importance of this much needed NF research. His attitude is incredible, and he is an inspiration to us all.
We are dedicated to raising funds for NF research and raising awareness of NF. NF is a neurologic, progressive and unpredictable disorder. You never know when a tumor will show up or what effects it will have. John will live with this for the rest of his life.
