A little bit about our little Lev: Lev is 2. He’s the biggest flirt we know – which is so appropriate that our first “race” in his name is the Cupid Undie Run. It really seems that he’s found his purpose to “teach” people happiness – the overstressed teacher, the business man buried in his smartphone, the stranger who just can’t catch a break, and us, his family – that we take a moment and soak in all his joy while fighting to get through the tests and uncertainties that his dianosis brings. He leaves no one untouched.
Lev is unbelieveably loving. He lights up a room with his contagious laugh, extraordinary personality and amazing smile. That joy is something Lev has found all the while facing immense obstacles. Lev was diagnosed with neurofibromatosis (NF) within months of birth and has been challenged with global developmental delays, failure to thrive and slow growth. Short in physical strength, he has no shortage of courage. Lev is resilient, persistent, amazing – he is our hero.
