When Matthew was 6 months old he was diagnosed with NF1. This is somethings neither my husband or myself had ever heard of. After doing exactly what we were advised not to do and looking up Neurofibromatis on the internet, we got very scared. We got a better handle on his diagnosis after some visits with the specialists and getting in touch with other NF families. Matthew is now 5 years old and starred kindergarten this year. He is the happiest little boy I know, however he does struggle quite a bit with ADHD and other behavioral aspects of this disease. We can only hope he lives healthy happy long life, but with a disease like NF1 nothing is ever certain, his body could betray him in at anytime without any warning. My husband and I fundraise all year round to help raise awareness and hopefully one day find a cure so the smile never leave our sons face. #endNF
