Mattie McKoy

Mattie Mckoy is 6 years old and has neurofibromatosis type 1. He is in kindergarten and has a bright personality. He has a tumor on his spinal chord and an inoperable tumor in his brain on his optic nerve. Right now they are monitoring the tumors and will only intervene if they start growing, cause him pain, harm his vision, or interfere with other functions. His quality of life is fantastic, and he is a happy little boy who goes to school, does karate, rides horses, goes to church, and has a lot of friends.
